Chris Shepherd - Meet the Author

We are very excited to announce that Chris Shepherd will be finishing his book tour with an event at Kraken Comics. Chris Shepherd is a double BAFTA award nominee, and author/artist of Anfield Road.

About the Book

Anfield Road is a beautiful coming of age story centered around growing up in the working-class dynamics of Merseyside in the late eighties. For fans of emotional stories about family and ambition and set in the rich history of Liverpool. As Conor Sterling is about to turn 18, he wrestles with the tough choice to go to art college or look after his sick, dominating grandmother? While life seems to move faster, he falls for a West-Indian girl who his grandmother disapproves of.

What to Expect

Chris will talk us through his background in films and the journey he took to create Anfield Road. He'll then be available to sign your copy.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase at the event for the discounted cost of £10 usually £21.99 RRP.

The Venue

Kraken Comics is a small, comfy and friendly venue with a cafe. It will be closed to non ticket holders during the event as it's out of the usual opening hours. This is an exclusive opportunity to meet a graphic novelist.
