This fun and relaxed event is a great opportunity for families to meet others, explore a new environment and enjoy some quality time together in an understanding and inclusive setting.

Welcome to Family Adventures, a brand-new programme created to give those on a referred pathway and autistic children, young people and their families the chance to enjoy fun, accessible experiences together, completely free of charge and supported by Autism Together's Advice and Support Officer.

These sessions are designed to:

Offer relaxed, supportive activities for the whole family
Create opportunities to try new things in a low-pressure environment
Build connections with other families
Seek support and advice from a member of our team

During the session you will be able to:

Full access to the comic book library, including Manga, dragons, animals and animae.
Acess to all the art supplies; markers, pencils, water colours, oil pastels, fine liners etc.
See demonstrations on how to make your own 8 page comic, if you would like to do this.
Feel free to snuggle up with a comic, explore the library or take part in art activities and drawing.

This event also includes a cold drink for every attendee; the cafe is open for further purchases of drinks and snacks.

Who can attend?
This event is for families with children who have a diagnosis of autism or on the pathway to a diagnosis - the whole family is welcome, you will need to register details for all the adults and children attending. This session is aimed at children aged 11 - 15 year olds.

Support on the day
Autism Together's Advice and Support Officer, Amy, will be present throughout the session to meet families and offer guidance or support if needed.

How to Join
Please register your interest by submitting your details; we will contact you to confirm whether a space has been allocated for your family. Places are limited, so we cannot guarantee everyone will receive a ticket. This is a FREE event fully funded by Autism Together, entry is free for families and a cold drink will be included for everyone. There is a cafe that your can purchase more drinks or snacks from.
